Troy's Army Party

Atten-TION!!✋ (In my drill sergeant voice😏)

So, now that I have your attention.....go ahead and take a peak into our Army themed party put on for a charming 7 year old boy!! This incredible party was held outdoors at Sonata Park in Henderson, NV on May 06th at 1600 hours!

In Las Vegas, you very rarely have to worry about rain at an outdoor event! However; you must ALWAYS worry about the wind here :) Needless to say, it was extremely windy on this beautiful, sunny day! Gusts of winds were up to 40 mph, but hey, that did not stop us from giving Troy a party he dreamed about!

The highlights of the party included: DragonGrille Catering Food Truck, a Boot Camp obstacle course directed by a drill sergeant, a Gamers Arcade video game truck, a Kona Ice truck, and an Army themed dessert table/décor!

Lets begin with the dessert table and décor! Desserts were provided by Peridot Sweets Bakery, and a backdrop/décor items from Starry Eyed Events

Starry Eyed Events had Troy's Mess Hall sign to add to this dessert table, but the 40 MPH winds would not allow for it to stand up behind it! So we made do without, and tied the sign down beside the tent to use for photo ops!

We set up a cute little s'mores station for the birthday boy( since he loves marshmallows) and the kids gathered around to roast their own marshmallows! Next to the s'mores station, we set up a popcorn bar with fun toppings that the guests could have fun with!

Troy's mom picked up these amazingly cute little ammo boxes loaded with snacks, as centerpieces on the camo and burlap table covers! We taped these covers so well that even a grenade could not blow these off!!

I hired DragonGrille Food Truck to cater this party. The menu consisted of gourmet burgers, hot dogs, and chicken fingers for the guests. The southwest burger was the fan favorite!!

After lunch, the kids were greeted by their drill sergeant!! Left, left, left, right, left...forward and march right up to the boot camp obstacle course! These soldiers were going in for a solid game of tug-o-war, a fitness test obstacle course, and grenade tossing (water balloons!).

after an hour of boot camp training, Troy was surprised with a Game Truck that holds 4 different gaming systems for 16 players at a time. Troy's reaction was priceless!!

The party ended with a nice, refreshing snack from Kona Ice! MMMM-MMMM, drop and give me ten of those!!

This is one happy, 7 year old soldier!! Mission accomplished!!
